ARCHERY MARSHALS ARE NEEDED

Calling all archery marshals and MiTs! Please sign up for you archery shifts for the Hunt! Lady Admiranda Howard would like to see as many shifts covered before the event as possible, so that she can fill in holes where needed. This way, no one spends all their time marshaling, and no time shooting!

Please consider signing up for two shifts if you can. There will be two woods walks this year.

Also, please note that there are no shifts available on Sunday from 11-12, and after 2. The range will close at these times for Thrown Weapons Champions and Archery Champions respectively.

VOLUNTEER FOR A SHIFT AT GATE

Hrefna Hrodbjortsdottir writes: Good day, people of Endewearde, Malagentia and points east and west! The cooler mornings, ripening harvest, and hints of red in leaves is signaling a change of seasons – summer into autumn. With autumn comes The Hunt. There are many wonderful things to do and learn, and many fine people to meet and renew conversations with at this event. I am asking for some of you to gift others with your smiling face and welcoming words – please sign up for a chance to sit troll, and share this gift with friends, old and new!

You are invited to dress in comfortable SCA garb and hike the Ampetheater carriage road in Acadia National Park. It is on the way to Northeast Harbor with easier parking, two spectacular bridges and stunning views.

Endurance-Hike-bridge-by-Lijsbet

For those coming onto the island from the mainland bear right at the head of the island onto Route 202 as if you were headed to Southwest Harbor. When you get to the light in Somesville take a left onto Route 198. Follow that down towards Northeast Harbor. Just after you pass Upper Hadlock Pond on your left (it’s the only visible pond) the lower parking lot will be on the left. If you pass the gatehouse you will have gone too far. The Ampitheater Loop is the one outlined in light green on this map provided by Bangor Daily News
