The forests of the Barony of Endewearde are vast and even though it is still summer, autumn will soon be upon us and the gentles will gather in the hollow to seek out friendship, knowledge, skill, and fame.
The Endewearde Hunt boasts all these things and more. The maples and oaks watch over as a new Baronial Archery Champion is sought through displays of prowess. Under the pines, people gather to learn arts and sciences from each other. Their Excellencies watch over the populace with love and admiration. Joyous days are had by all.
Endewearde’s premier camping event takes place in Newburgh, Maine, and will be filled with archery and thrown weapons competitions, as well as the selection of Endewearde’s new First Archer (Baronial Archery Champion), the famous Woods Walk (archery vs hidden targets), a potables round table, a vast A&S track including an embroidery challenge, and more!
There will be no day board or feast held at this event.
The site offers primitive camping and above ground fire pits are welcome! Dogs are also permitted but must always remain on a lead. Port-o-Castles will be located throughout the site for your convenience.
The location has no running water.

SCA Demonstration in Belfast Maine from July 21 to 23, 2023.
SCA members from Endewearde and Wyndriche: join us for a demo at the boat landing in Belfast, as part of the Maine Celtic Celebration.
Setup starts at noon Friday with cars off the field at 5pm. This lasts till Sunday at 5pm. You can day trip or be there every day.
Bring a project to work on and talk about. There will be fighting and fencing (thank you Jeff Farrell). If you haven’t authorized yet, we can do that too.
This is our big demo so let’s show the visitors how SCAdians do things and have fun!

Garb Get Together (Orono): Sunday, December 3, 2017
Lady Admiranda Howard will be hosting a garb get together at her home in Orono, Maine on Sunday, December 3, 2017. The workshop will start at 10 AM and will run until 4 PM.
This is an opportunity to work on your new SCA garb or to swing by and get help & inspiration for a new project. With three winter events coming up in 2018 in the Barony of Endewearde, East Kingdom Twelfth Night (Jan. 6) the Feast of Saint Sylvester (Jan. 13) and the Tourney of Love (Feb. 10) there is ample opportunity to dress in your fanciest court garb.

We are one month away from the Feast of Saint Sylvester. Here are some important information updates for the event.
DEADLINES: Tuesday, December 27, 2016
The deadline for the Reservations Clerk to receive your payment (via postal mail service) to reserve your seat for the evening feast is Tuesday, December 27, 2016.
The deadline to register and declare your intent to enter the Baronial Arts & Sciences competition is also Tuesday, December 27, 2016. Please email your registration information to Lady Yzabel du Perche at arts@endewearde.eastkingdom.org AND Meisterin Agatha Wanderer at deputy.arts@endewearde.eastkingdom.org with the subject line A&S CHAMPIONS REGISTRATION

We have 26 confirmed reservations and 10 more potential reservations (based on email correspondence indicating “the check in is the mail”). Right now we potentially have 36 of our 75 seats reserved.

Summer Activities in Wyndriche
The lovely Canton of Wyndriche (incipient) is pleased to announce two summer activities during the week.
There will be an Arts & Sciences Project Night held every Tuesday evening starting at 6:30 pm until early July at the home of Syr Cedric of Thanet in China, Maine. Please contact seneschal@wyndriche.eastkingdom.org for driving directions. Bring along your creative works in progress or swing by to hang out and get some inspiration for new undertakings. Attire is everyday casual wear – wearing garb isn’t necessary.
There will also be an outdoor Fighter Practice held every Thursday evening this summer from 6:00-8:00 pm at Heritage Park waterfront in Belfast, Maine. Practices are subject to cancellation when it rains. Plan to bring items for your own comfort which may include water, bug spray, and other things you may need when engaging in athletic endeavors.

Invitation to attend Unity College Medieval Club Schola

The Unity College Medieval Club, known as the House of Wintermoor, will be holding a student club run Schola at Unity College on Saturday, April 23, 2016. There will be several instructors from the SCA teaching a wide variety of classes. The student club members have extended an invitation to join them at their schola for a day of shared learning. This college club is located in the Barony of Endewearde’s incipient Canton of Wyndriche and although this is not an official SCA event, we are eager to support their efforts and interests.

December 2015 Activities in Wyndriche
The Canton of Wyndriche (incipient) in partnership with the Unity College Medieval Reenactment Club will be offering arts & sciences and combat activities during the first two weeks of December.
Tuesday, December 1st offers the opportunity for those working on making their own bows to make more progress on their projects. You can learn more about this workshop series by clicking on this link to the Bowyer Workshop Series.
Sundays, December 6 & 13 will have combat practices held near the Gymnasium & Activities Building on Unity College campus. Combat practices will go on hiatus when Unity College goes on academic break. Other combat practices in the Barony of Endewearde will continue in Bangor, Maine and are held at the Bangor Housing Authority almost every Sunday from 4:00-7:00 pm. Please check the Endewearde website calendar for updates if you are interested in attending.

Description
Ragnarr Inn Grai, Arts & Sciences Minister for the Canton of Wyndriche, will be offering a series of classes on how to construct an archery bow at Unity College in partnership with the Unity College Medieval Reenactment Club. The focus of the class will be a basic longbow from a stave. Ragnarr may also demonstrate a basic longbow from easily obtainable commercial lumber if time and materials are available.
Regarding the number of attendees: the more the merrier. We should have most of the materials covered. Depending on how many attend means that tools will need to be shared. There is no charge for the workshop. If you have any tools such as a draw spoke shave and rasp plane please bring them along.
Classes will be held on Tuesdays on November 3, 10 and 17 at 7:00 pm in room TLL 104. This building is attached to Koons Hall and is in the center of campus
