There are often a number of regularly scheduled activities running in the Wyndriche area.
Demo annually in Belfast on third or fourth weekend in July in conjunction with Endewearde, as part of the Maine Celtic Celebration. Friday to Sunday. Show and discuss projects, fighting and fencing, etc. This is our big demo so let’s show the visitors how SCAdians do things and have fun!
Calendars
The Canton of Wyndriche (incipient) is part of the Barony of Endewearde. You can view the Baronial Master Calendar for a wider variety of activities being offered by nearby branches, or see Endewearde’s website for information about our parent branch.
You may also wish to visit the East Kingdom Event Calendar to see what SCA events are being held across the east coast including Canada (the Crown Principality of Tir Mara) and New England (various branches of the Northern Region of the EK aka East Kingdom).
Business Meetings
We meet once a quarter to discuss business matters of concern to the canton. The next one is Tuesday Feb 20, 2024, at 7:00 pm EST; typical agenda here.
We want to resume in-person meetings. Please tell our Seneschal if you know a potential place for this.

Arts and Sciences (aka A&S)
Formal workshops and classes for Arts and Sciences activities run on an irregular schedule in the Canton of Wyndriche. Check the announcements page to see what is coming up next, or attend A&S events from other SCA branches (see below the recipes).

* An Orlovsky with tree mead recipe (NOT for panelling) ; source is Russian 100+ years ago.
* A Jellied Ypocras mead recipe, aka Elizabethan Jello Shots; source from 1584.
* A Cordial Cherry Water – Take 2 mead recipe; various sources from 1656 and before. Take 1, aka first try, was served at an Endewearde hunt well prior to 2020+ plague.
* A Melomel with Raspberry and Cranberry mead recipe. Melomel means it includes raspberries. (Document missing at least 1 page if your browser blocks pop-ups; investigation underway.)
You are also welcome to attend A&S activities hosted by the Barony of Endewearde (Bangor area), the Canton of Basingestoches (Ellsworth and Bar Harbor), the Shire of Hadchester (Rockland area), and the Riding of Ravensbridge (Augusta area). All of these are in Maine, USA.
Thrown Weapons Practice
On hold indefinitely; a new TW Marshal is needed by Wyndriche. Contact that officer of the Barony of Endewearde if you are interested in becoming a marshal.
Martial Combat Activities
The Barony of Endewearde often holds fighter practices at the Bangor Housing Authority, 161 Davis Road, Bangor, ME. The Riding of Ravensbridge often has rapier practice in Manchester, ME. Please check the official websites for those branches to ensure you have the proper dates & places.
