Joint Wyndriche/Hadchester Demo – Union Faire

Just a reminder that we’ve been invited to co-demo with Hadchester at the Union Fair in Union – This Saturday 9-4. The canton meeting is still on for 7pm at Dray and Wendy’s in Waterville.

Here is the fair info:

Demo at the Union Fair:

We will begin activities on Saturday around 10am and they will continue until 4pm.
There will be a list for Heavy Combat, Fencing (if we have fencers), and dancing.
We will cycle through these activities at a reasonable pace through the day.
There will be space for anyone who wishes to do an A&S demo.

When arriving at the Fair, after crossing the bridge turn left to Security and mention the SCA / medieval demonstration.  They will direct you to our spot and let you in for free.

Upcoming Schedules

It’s starting to be that busy time of the year.

August 22nd in Jefferson at the MASI sight, there is a joint demo/fight practice with Hadchester.  Realizing that this is also the date for the Great Balloon Festival in L/A.

Baronial Meeting is Sunday, the 23rd.

We’ve been talking canton meeting for August 29th and Dray and Wendy’s in Waterville.  Hadchester has also asked for our help with a demo at the Union Fair for the same date.  To accommodate, we can hold the meeting at 7pm for folks wanting to lend aid in Union.

I currently have no agenda items for the meeting.  If you have anything, please let me know.

I expect the Unity students to be returning at the end of the month.  That opens a whole new group of possible activities.

I know there’s been a lot of press for the Great Balloon Festival demo. As a side note, Lord Thomas and I in a joint Wyndriche/Hadchester venture will be teaching an intro to SCA fighting at the Mystwood Village Day at the MASI facility in Jefferson on August 22nd at 10 am.
