​Canton of Wyndriche

Welcome! to the official website for the Canton of Wyndriche incipient. We are a subgroup of the Barony of Endewearde in the Society for Creative Anachronism (aka SCA). Most of our members live in and around Unity, ME, though our lands stretch from Oakland to Belfast and up to Skowhegan. We enjoy learning and exploring all things medieval including fencing, archery, thrown weapons, sword + shield, and many of the arts and sciences (aka A&S) such as music, calligraphy, cooking, garb, and brewing.

Our practices and get-togethers are seasonal. Some are dependent on finding suitable indoor space. Check the announcements page to see what is going on.

We try to meet quarterly to discuss Wyndriche’s business; next is Feb 20, 2024, at 7 pm EST. They currently take place online via G-Meet. Anyone can attend, but please be courteous and wait to be acknowledged before speaking.

Within the Midcoast Maine region, there are several other branches of the SCA (under Northern Region of the East Kingdom) : the Barony of Endewearde (Bangor & lots more), the Shire of Hadchester (Rockland), Riding of Ravensbridge (Augusta), and our sister Canton of Basingestoches (Bar Harbor).
